911 Carrera Cup 3.8(993)

Built by Porsche Motorsport for the final air-cooled 993 Cup generation, this 1998 Porsche 911 Carrera Cup 3.8 combines factory competition construction, documented race history and German road registration. It was delivered to Tolimit Motorsport and driven by Frank Stippler in seven Porsche Cup events during 1998.

In 1999, Porsche Center Neckar-Alb – MAX MORITZ campaigned the car with Roland Hertner and Rainer Noller, winning the GTP Porsche Endurance Championship. RS Line and Thomas Neuert continued its campaign in 2000 and 2001, with twenty additional GTP races and success in the Overall Pirelli Trophy Championship.

The matching-numbers Type M64/70 3.8-litre flat-six uses Varioram induction and produces 311 horsepower (232 kW) and 360 Nm. The original G50/30 close-ratio six-speed gearbox, welded cage, adjustable racing suspension, Speedline magnesium center-lock wheels and lightweight competition interior remain central to its specification.

Preservation after competition

The car entered private collector ownership in 2002 and was returned to its documented 1998 livery and configuration. German road registration and TÜV approval followed in 2014. It records 13,308 kilometers; this is an odometer reading for a competition car, rather than a statement of total racing distance.

Prosten Motorsport has maintained the car since 2015. A full fluid service was completed in March 2024, and a final inspection and fresh service are planned before delivery. The original ONS Wagenpass, Porsche factory records, competition documentation, German registration/TÜV papers and service records accompany the car.

Located in Germany and offered from private collector ownership. Historic demonstrations or other motorsport use remain subject to current regulations and technical inspection.
