The story
Mamerow-developed competition Porsche on an original 993 Cup bodyshell, with 90 documented race starts, German road registration and an RS Tuning 4.0-liter turbo producing 746 PS and 952 Nm.
This Mamerow 993 GT2-R-EVO began with an original 1994 Porsche 993 Cup bodyshell and evolved through successive competition developments. It is a Cup-based, Mamerow-developed car rather than an original factory GT2. Its ONS Wagenpass records ninety starts from 1994 through 2011 and documents the progression to its current configuration.
RS Tuning engineering
Reinhold Schmirler's RS Tuning developed the 4.0-liter turbocharged air-cooled flat-six. Dyno records show 746 PS (548 kW) and 952 Nm (702 lb-ft). Approximately eight engine operating hours and four gearbox hours have been recorded since their respective overhauls. The G50/54Y close-ratio manual, lightweight composite bodywork, Recaro racing seat, FIA-specification cage, BBS center-lock wheels and 120-liter FIA FT3 fuel cell form part of its competition specification.
Seventeen years of racing development
Seven German GT appearances in 1994 were followed by seven 1995 ADAC GT Cup races with Olaf Pleuger, car number four. German road registration as a 993 GTR was issued on 26 October 1995, and Jens Hochköpper acquired the car that November. He contested eleven events during 1996–1997, then sixty-five GTP races from 1998 through 2011 after the recorded GT2-R conversion.
Technical inspections, homologation information, setup records and development invoices accompany the logbook. More than €200,000 of work is documented for 2010–2011. The current collector acquired the car on 26 October 2012. Neil Bainbridge prepared it for a Silverstone event in 2014, although adverse weather meant it was not entered; Prosten Motorsport has maintained it subsequently.
The sale includes additional three-piece BBS wheels, four tire warmers, radio equipment, a spare ECU, air lance, fuel bottle, spare windshield and other competition accessories. Located in Germany, with road-registration and engineering records available for review. Current road use and historic event participation require appropriate inspections, preparation and applicable approvals.
