The Car
A one-of-one, street-legal Mamerow-built 993 GT2-R-EVO with approximately 90 documented race starts, an RS Tuning 4.0-liter engine, fresh GT2 gearbox and original ONS Wagenpass.
Built from an original 1994 Porsche 993 Cup bodyshell, this one-of-one Mamerow 993 GT2-R-EVO is a road-registered competition Porsche with a documented career spanning approximately 90 race starts. Mamerow Engineering transformed the Cup into a dedicated GT car before it was progressively developed into its present GT2-R-EVO specification.
Its current RS Tuning 4.0-liter naturally aspirated air-cooled flat-six was built by Reinhold Schmirler and is rated at 746 PS (548 kW) and 952 Nm. Approximately eight running hours have been recorded since the engine rebuild. A Porsche G50/54 GT2 close-ratio racing gearbox, with approximately four hours since rebuild, delivers power to the rear wheels.
The specification includes composite GT2-R-EVO bodywork, a 120-liter FIA FT3 fuel cell, BBS center-lock wheels, a fully prepared competition cockpit, Recaro seats and an FIA roll cage. Despite its uncompromising race preparation, the car is street legal as a 993 GTR and retains German registration together with its original ONS Wagenpass.
The car competed at AVUS, Wunstorf, Zolder, Zandvoort, Zeltweg, the Salzburgring and Nürburgring in 1994. Olaf Pleuger drove it in the 1995 ADAC GT Cup before it passed to Jens Hochköpper and received official German road registration in October 1995. Eleven further races followed in 1996 and 1997, followed by 65 GTP starts between 1998 and 2011 as the car evolved through GTP-LP and 993 GT2 R form to GT2-R-EVO specification.
In collector ownership since 2012 and maintained by Prosten Motorsport, the Mamerow is offered with an extensive history file, more than €200,000 in invoices from 2010–2011, additional BBS wheels, tire warmers, radios and headsets, a spare ECU, air lance, fuel bottle and spare windshield. Fresh mechanicals and exceptional documentation make it suitable for immediate road use, demonstration events or historic competition.
