The story
A Porsche AG Weissach development chassis, later converted to Carrera 3.0 RS style by Prosten Motorsport. Restored in Speed Yellow, with documented engine work and a TÜV chassis inspection.
This 1973 Porsche began life as a factory 911T development car. First registered to Porsche AG's Entwicklungszentrum Weissach on 19 June 1973, it remained in internal engineering use until its release into private ownership in 1976. Its identity and development history form the starting point for understanding the car.
A documented RS-style conversion
After its factory service, the car was converted to Carrera 3.0 RS style by Prosten Motorsport. It is a modified factory development chassis, rather than an original production Carrera 3.0 RS. The distinction is important when assessing its specification, history and value.
The 3.0-litre air-cooled flat-six uses Bosch mechanical fuel injection and is reported to produce approximately 230 horsepower. The engine was rebuilt by Neil Bainbridge at BS Motorsport in the United Kingdom, with supporting work records. A five-speed manual gearbox, forged Fuchs wheels, Michelin tires, black RS-style bucket seats and six-point harnesses complete its sporting configuration.
Restoration and chassis identity
Restoration work is documented, including Early 911S involvement with the chassis. The car is presented in Speed Yellow. A June 2022 TÜV Rheinland radiographic inspection report supported the original VIN and chassis identity and found no evidence of a replacement identity, hidden welding or structural repairs in the inspected areas.
The odometer indicates 10,773 kilometers, with reportedly 34 kilometers covered since restoration. These readings describe the indicated and post-restoration distances; they do not establish verified total lifetime mileage.
Located in a private collection in Germany, the car is offered with ownership, restoration, engine and inspection documentation. Independent inspections are welcome by appointment. Participation in historic events depends on the organizer's requirements and the car's current technical approval.
