The 1957 Chrysler 300C combined Virgil Exner's Forward Look styling with the company's FirePower Hemi V8. This convertible is finished in Gauguin Red with a Tan interior and matching convertible top, one of 484 convertibles built for the model year.

The 392-cubic-inch Hemi produces 375 horsepower and uses dual four-barrel carburetors. A three-speed TorqueFlite automatic, power steering, power brakes and Torsion-Aire front suspension pair substantial performance with the comfort of a full-size American grand touring convertible.

Restoration, recognition and long-term ownership

The present collector acquired the car approximately twenty-five years ago, already restored to substantially its current condition. Its concours-quality restoration predates that purchase; a precise restoration date and facility are not currently documented. Continued care has preserved the bodywork, brightwork, interior, top and engine compartment.

Recognition includes AACA National Senior honors, a Chrysler 300 Club National First Prize and multiple national awards. An extensive history file accompanies the car.

The odometer indicates 52,000 miles. Located in a private collection in Palm Beach County, Florida, the car is offered through RGB Motors with inspections welcome by appointment.
